Instead of using the CMYK color system like digital or offset printing, risograph uses spot color system (make by the RISO company in Japan, feature 21 standard colors), in a way very similar to the Pantone system.

*Fluorescent Ink
Fluorescent là loại mực có hiệu ứng phản quang đặc biệt, màu sẽ rực rỡ và sáng hơn khi nhìn thực tế, màu fluo cũng sẽ phát sáng dưới đèn ánh sáng tím (black light).
Fluorescent inks can reflect light, therefore they are brighter in normal light and can glow under the black light.
*Metallic Ink
Metalic là loại mực có nhũ bên trong, nên những bản in với mực này sẽ tạo hiệu ứng lấp lánh như được phủ một lớp nhũ vàng.
Metallic ink is contented with metallic particles that rise to the surface, reflecting light and creating a metallic sheen
Do đặc tính trong suốt của mực riso nên khi các lớp màu được in chồng lên nhau, chúng sẽ tạo ra các sự kết hợp màu sắc mới.
Because of the transparency of riso ink, when color layers are printed on top of each other, they create new color combinations.
